Andy, When you have time. Pencil "lead" in hand since 1965. Graphite   Message List

Andy - when you get time.

I have a piece of pencil "lead" embedded in my hand since 1st grade,
when I stabbed myself pretty good. It's still visible under the skin,
but I tried digging once and I couldn't get it out.

Is this something to be worried about?

My hair lead level is presently mildly high (yellow), but was
exceedingly high in my infant and adolescent hair.

What is this "lead"? Is it just graphite?

Dave.

... Some pencil leads do actually contain lead. I don't know any way to tell other than to have it removed, and of course then you don't need to figure it...
