HI all,
Thanks heaps Stephanie for your contribution on my hair test result. I
appreciate you taking the time to check it out.
I'll answer some of your queries:
>Whey protein may be okay for some if they are low cysteine and
tolerate it well. Others get worsened symptoms due to the
sulfur content.
I seem to be okay with sulfur based foods, my thought is that my liver is so
underfunctioning that it needs the sulfur for the sulphation pathway of
phase two detox. Most of the foods I am restricted to on the failsafe diet
that cause no reaction are high in sulfur.
>Do you get exposure to chemicals in a garden center? Fertilizers,
pesticides, that sort of thing?
My work is mostly outside, but I do have minimal exposure to these things.
Since doing Pfeiffer and eliminating sugar and flours and most grains I
don't smell them or react to the brief exposures I have. It's the only work
I'm trained for that I can do with the energy I have that's outside as I
have problems working indoors.
>FIR is more likely to cause problems with
chemically sensitive people, partly due to chemicals in the glues
and wood, and partly due to the FIR heaters themselves because
they heat unevenly.
We have a portable one that is material, not wood, that we got second hand
that had gassed off to a point where I can't smell it. I've read the files
section but choose to disagree based on other research I've done. I may in
time change my mind on that one, though.
On Wednesday, I gave the chemist my script for DMSA and am picking it up
today. A friend of mine who is a naturopath (and using DMSA himself) told me
that DMSA bypasses the liver and takes the mercury out through the urine.
Luckily for me, my kidney energy is strong so I'm hoping this is going to be
okay. It's clear that my other detox pathways aren't functioning well and my
digestive difficulties would be hindering the mercury's exit via that way.
Have you read Andy's books?
I read Amalgam Illness, but the local libraries don't have the others and
I'm maxed out financially to buy another at the moment so any assistance
from list members is appreciated.
>To enhance absorption, digestive enzymes, ascorbic acid, and/or
betaine HCL are advisable with an all low presentation.
I do these too.
I found Dr Wisons thoughta on the LOW FOUR pattern intriguing:
"Lifestyle change and changing onešs thought patterns are most important as
well. "
My thought patterns have changes a great deal after controlling which food
chemicals I ingest (naturally occurring ones as well as additives) Indeed, I
previously was a good fit for his personality profile of the low fours but
now, especially after Pfeiffer, I am a different person. It is interesting
to note that my problems were exacerbated by my change in lifestyle from the
drug taking alcoholic chain smoking city dweller to the clean living country
dwelling hippy; especially when I gave up cigarettes. To do this I ate
bakery products, so it's no surprise, really.my poor gut.
"The most common symptom of four low electrolytes is exhaustion. However,
some who have not been in a four lows pattern for too long are not in touch
with their fatigue. They may continue to push themselves and use
stimulants, activities, worry or other mental habits to drive themselves."
Yep, I am exhausted a lot, but do not use stimulants anymore.
"High doses of the sedative minerals help slow the adrenals. The supplement
program consists of high doses of only a few supplements, usually calcium,
magnesium and zinc. "
Precisely what helps me the most when I'm having a 'food reaction'.
So my next question is:
I've heard that DMSA can increase yeast activity in the gut. Has anyone
experienced this and what to do about it?
Thanks, Kelle
