HI Jim....I got off the xanax pre-flox. I now take it about 3 x a month. I am
not addicted though. What does the doc say ? I would think working will be too
hard while having withdrawals. We are all different but some times you can hide
it but if you are getting sweats etc....that is hard to hide.
I did withdrawal from darvocets ( on them for 6 months) after floxing and I
didn't find it any harder than other withdrawals ( percocet 3 years ago). It is
good you can still work. What kind of work are you doing?
My prayers are with you Jim.......Let us know if you can...............Jenn

Thanks for your reply Jen, I just am concerned about coming off Klonopin
affecting my job, up to this point it has allowed me to function @ my job and
continue to with my career without a lot of "cipro" related problems other than
fatigue. I'm hoping by going off "K" that I'm not opening the gates of hell.
Sometimes I wonder if I should just stay on them awhile longer but then I also
realize the whole tolerance thing and that they are affecting the same GABA
receptors that the Cipro/NSAID cocktail did, which need to heal on their own. I
guess time will be the only thing that helps me make that decision.
When you got off the Xanax did you find the FQ problems got worse? Insomnia,
muscle pain, anxiety, etc.....
Thanks,
Jim

withdrawing from cigarettes except my head felt like a "cotton ball" that would
occasionally get squeezed. I think any drug withdrawal is just a matter of
making up your mind that you want to be off it and go thru the temp withdrawals.
Pls don't go cold turkey if you can help it. YOu can get off addictive meds.
Lots of us have done it ! You can do it too ! Jenn

since I ended a 5 week course of Cipro (2x500's) and have been dealing with the
aftermath every since. I have luckily not suffered the severe skeletal/muscular
damage that some of you have. I did get Achilles tendonitis in my left foot but
that has responded well to PT, though it has taken a long time to get there and
is not cured but I can golf/walk on uneven surfaces, stand for periods of time,
and do some fairly extensive PT exercises without issue. I have also had the
muscle twitching, fatigue, muscle soreness, etc.....

a number of "natural" methods and not sleeping for 2 weeks straight I made the
decision, with my doctors and families support, to go on Klonopin. I was on 2mg
a day for about 7 months and have now been doing a slow taper; I am now at 1mg a
day. To date, I have had some bumpy days, but nothing really out of the ordinary
from what I have been feeling for awhile. Sleeping still is OK and it does help
with the anxiety.

this ordeal I would really like to know how it went and if you have any
suggestions. Because I tend to be a worrier and have a tendency to look at the
glass half empty, if you've had a really bad experience with benzo's and getting
off them I would prefer that you NOT answer my request. I'm not hiding from
reality but just looking for positive feedback for now.
