My comments on the article, 'TERRI SAYING THANKS' by Kate Sheehy
"The husband - ap pearing on NBC's "Dateline" to hawk his new tell-all tome - ac
knowledges that even his now-new wife, who he was dating at the height of the
controversy, urged him to give in to Terri's desperate right-to-life family and
keep her on hospital machines."
The writer must be unaware that the AMENDED February 25, 2005 court order that
caused the death of Terri Schiavo did not mention "hospital machines" or even a
feeding tube. The court order did not mention medical treatment. The court order
called for the removal of nutrition and hydration no matter how it was
delivered--even by mouth.
The court order was about food and water, not the method in which sustenance is
delivered to the patient.
