Hello,
I found Alcat website over a year ago -wanted to test my 3 y.o
daughter...finally in 2008 i put together all the money issues and
went to the website..and they dont have the "kids panel" anymore!
does it mean the biggest panel can be done on/for kids?
what changed?
how accurate would it be?
will she have to be re-tested later?
thank you!
Mariana
Hello, lovely people!
i just received my results from Alcat test and trying to read and
understand all the information...which is too much for a "normal"
person...and i'm originally from Europe, english is not my first
language, so, having a little trouble with all the terminology...:)
Just wanted to say hello and looking forward to learn things from you all.
Marianna from St.Louis, mo
I am looking for help to convince my doctor to request the ALCAT test. I have been suffering from sinus problems my entire life. I am currently suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and I weigh 260 pounds -- I'm 5'5" tall. I have tried nasal sprays, allergy pills, and one doctor thought my acid reflux might be the cause of my sinus problems. Nothing so far as helped. I believed the ALCAT would be beneficial.
I am currently doing research on the web, and can't find exactly what I am looking for. I'm hoping that you can help. I am looking for the following:
testimonials
information that explains the difference between the ALCAT and the traditional prick test
information on the accuracy/benefit of the ALCAT -- I realize that there are arguments against the test, so a source that acknowledges the difference and helps make a case for the test would be helpful
I have been to the ALCAT site and found some useful information, but I would expect them to 'toot their own horn'. I am hoping to find an independent source that also supports the site.
My thought is that even if the ALCAT doesn't help, that it cannot hurt. I can think of two times in my life when I didn't have trouble with sinus drainage -- once during an elimination diet and the second during an Atkins diet. I have tried Atkins again, but I get terribly sick -- I'm thinking it is low blood sugar.
Currently I work two jobs and I'm trying to finish my MBA and so an elimination diet is very difficult. An ALCAT test would hopefully help me to focus on the problem areas -- sort of give me a target, rather than shooting in the dark trying to figure out which foods are problematic.
I'm sorry for the length of the message, and I think you for reading this far. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

I am sorry to hear about your difficulties. Here's been my experience. I ordered the test directly without a doctor and you can do that too right on the web site.
I took the ALCAT test about a year ago (the expensive comprehensive one) and when I got my results back (about two weeks), I just really paid attention to the things in red and some in orange. When I looked at all things in red, orange and yellow, it was just not practical for me to eliminate those things.
But the basic premise made sense to me: your digestive track is huge and if something you're eating (food, coloring or additive) is causing an inflammatory response, then my assume assume is piqued and would be causing some problems. I contacted them and spoke with a very nice guy named Joe and he walked me through the process. I started to obstain from all of the stuff listed in red (baker's yeast was probably the biggest
adjustment as I loved to eat bread three meals a day), but some of the other things included cocoa (no more chocolate everyday, but I still partake a couple times a week), beets, cabbage, MSG, green food coloring (there's goes the mint chip ice cream), etc. I also decided to pay attention to how I was reacting to other things I ate. I realized on my own that I was sensitive to rHST in non-organic dairy, so now I just do organic dairy (milk, butter, yogurt, soy cream cheese, and soy sour cream). I also stay away from beef, most of the time, as it takes me forever to digest it. Other than that, I eat whatever I want (even many of those things in the yellow and some in orange.
In 30 days, I lost 40 lbs. I was worried. I thought I had cancer and was checked out by a doctor but I was just fine. I had dropped from a 36 waist to a 33 waist.
Also, I noticed an increase in muscle density and also
noticed that when I would exercise or play basketball, my joints didn't hurt as much.
Obviously, I became a believer in the ALCAT technology. I wasn't completely convinced when I ordered it, but after getting results and doing something about it, my little clinical study (n=1) was convincing enough for me.
And the best part, I have kept off the weight now for a year and feel great.

Subject: [foodallergyrx] Re: The Consumer Relief Act of 2008!
I don't have to tell anyone how difficult times are. I work between 60 and 70 hours per week as a cashier in a grocery store just so I can put food on the table for my kids. No one is witnessing the constant increase in grocery prices more than me. I see the same products selling at higher and higher prices every week. I see regular customers buying less and less because they can't afford what they always bought in the past. But I also have taken notice of several people that are coming to my register with overflowing carts and paying next to nothing. It is amazing to me how these people walk out of the store with overflowing carts and they are paying less than people who are buying three of four items. I started asking them how they do it and all of them are members of this program at http://thecostslasher.com A few of them explained that they saw television shows for this company. Needless to say I couldn't wait to sign up either, I joined their sampler program which offers savings on a vast array of items not just groceries and wow has this helped. I sincerely hope that this will help other struggling people.
Hello,
My 2 year old son showed up with some intolerances to foods, gluten
senstivity and candida after the ALCAT test.
I had the test done because he was losing weight. It has been 3 weeks
and he is still losing weight. I need any help or advice on this
desperately.
Thank you,
Peter.

Fw: Help With The Grocery Bill Has Arrived!
As amazing as it may sound many people do not realize how easy it is to LEGALLY stop paying for their groceries! This is how the one hour television show began for the company whose website is at: http://expensecutting.com I thought it was very interesting and decided to check it out. I am very skeptical by nature so the first thing I did was check out the company. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and found that the company has had no complaints lodged against them, I also contacted Paypal who has verified this company. They told me that they verified the company's licenses, bank accounts and other paperwork indicating to them that the company is legitimate. Then I started asking co-workers and friends about this program and to my surprise 6 out of the 10 people that I spoke with were already using this program. They told me how pleased they were with it and how much money they had saved and are currently saving. So I decided to sign up for this program on 11/5/08. On 11/12/08 I received my complete membership package and the fun began. Using their sampler program and the free lifetime membership that it includes I went to the supermarket ready to make a killing. The cashier rang up my grocery bill and it came out to $239.87 then I put the program to work and I saved $223.38 - my final bill was only $16.49! The cashier wasn't the only one shocked. This program couldn't come at a better time with the way our economy is!
My sister told me they are currently having their 31st anniversary 50% off everything sale.

Hi Scott,
Arthritis and allergies are autoimmune conditions which means your Immune System is over-active.
I have had great benefit from 2 products that support the body's own functions to come back into balance and heal itself.
The first is called Transfer Factor. The best TF for arthritis is either TFClassic or Tri Factor. Don't start on the TriFactor Plus it is too strong to start on.
The other product I use daily is called FibroAMJ - formulated for inflammatory conditions including arthritis. After nearly 20 years of aches & pains my body is nice and comfortable to live in now.
And of course I find that the Essential Fatty Acids and fish oils are really important. Even the old Cod Liver oil is good for inflammation.
If you want more details about these products you can explore: www.tfactor.net.au
Hope this helps - it can get you down when you constantly feel stiff & sore.
Cheers
Raj

Hello,
I've been following my ALCAT diet very closely for about 5 months and have seen about a 50% improvement in my arthritis. Of course, I would like to be symptom-free, but can't seem to find out how to rid myself of the remaining joint pain and stiffness. Any ideas what else I can try?

Food allergy kitchen is separate
from this group – and I think her store is gone, too . . . but I think
she has a website.

Hey Scott ...Stay away from cheese it really irritates the joints. Also drink cherry concentrate in your water. Cherry releases the uric acid from your joints and muscles, it works great for me.
