I found DIGEST ADVANTAGE Lactose Intolerance Therapy. You take one
pill a day. I think I found it at Walmart. It seems to help. I
still don't eat many dairy products, but when I slip up and have some
cheese, I take one of these too.

Buckwheat flour is more flavorful than rice. You may want to use it
like you would a wheat bread recipe. Try adding some chives, garlic,
or Mrs. Dash for some added flavor. I have a recipe that uses flat
beer instead of the water in the recipe. That makes the bread taste
heartier.
I am also able to use Spelt flour. It may not be on your "OK" list.
I cannot use wheat or oat flour, but Spelt does not bother me. (just
a suggestion).

I don`t know how you can cook much food with rice floow. When I
tryied to do bread from rice it was hard as stone. Bread from shop
is tastless and full of cellulose. I found amarath, quinoia, soghum
and chesnut floors in our shops too. I will try it bc my intolerance
to milk, sugar and gluten is not getting better. My list is very long
too but I was able to stand diet for 3 months. Some foods in my menu
again.
If you don`t have celiac desease you can eat gluten a little bit
after diet. But your family don`t have to be on such strick diet.
You should cook for then separatly.

I was just getting good at cooking with rice flour, and creating lots

I would like to know if there is supplement to help digets milk
protein ( whey), gliadin and sugar?
I still have severe reaction on this food and many other.
It seems that I can`t digest it at all and bacteria eat it bc I am
bloated and in pain after that.
I have H.Pylori infection and I know gliadin/gluten trigger it as well
as candida infection I had.
Is there are way to eat it but don`t have side effects?

I must admit, with the holidays I have slipped off my list and eaten
some of the foods on my orange list often enough that I can tell the
difference. Since I have been "off" the diet for a while, can I just
get back on? Or do I need to, or should I, be retested??
Thanks - I hope everyone had and has a happy holidays.
Mark
How did he do that?
Is it regular acupancture or another technique?
I can`t tolerate acupancture and always sick after it.
But I still can`t tolerate many foods.

I had the Alcat test in June and I showed many sensitivities. I followed the elimination and rotation diet very strictly and then began to add foods that I was sensitive to back into my diet. I was having the hardest time, as I continued to be very sensitive to most of the foods. A friend told me about an acupuncturist in my area that could help me become desensitized to these foods, so I tried this approach. I am very encouraged! I have now successfully been desensitized to many of the foods that have caused by so much trouble. I hope this helps someone out there. Robin

Wow, you have your hands full. Lucky boys to have such a persistent
and attentive parent!
Too bad most kids are given Ritalin and other such drugs, quite often
at a very early age. We have to wonder what will happen to them as
they grow older.
As for autism, are you maintaining a gluten-free diet for your son?
There hasn't been proof that Autism and Celiac Disease are related but
it appears that a gluten-free diet can help with autism.
Good luck to you! :)

I heard of the ALCAT test through my mother in Florida. She had gone
to a new doctor about an issue. When the doctor examined her he
wanted to know how long she had had her skin condition. She indicated
that she had had the condition pretty much all her life. He said, "I
can fix that for you, if you would like". She of course had been to
numerous doctors during the course of her life and did not believe he
could make a difference. Turns out, Dr. Graham's (St. Pete, FL)
little secret was the ALCAT test. The test was performed and the
results returned. She had several items turn up as intolerances that
were a completely unexpected. She eliminated those things from her
diet and he skin subsequently dramatically improved.
Upon hearing her story, I wondered about where MS may be able to help
my wife with MS. I hit Google and found a wealth of information on
the subject. We quickly did a complete elimination diet referred to
the paleolithic diet. Basically, we ate only what was available
hundreds of years ago. No preservatives, or other food additives.
Within 2 days her mental clarity was substantially improved. Two days
later, on the 4th day, she was able to walk again and she has not been
able to walk for months because of worsening MS.
Now we couldn't wait for the test results. On the day the test
arrived, I called my wife's mother and asked what allergies/food
sensitivities my wife had ever experienced. She assured me that food
was never an issue.
We were astonished to get the results and see that, in fact, my wife
has 49 substantial food sensitivities. The test confirmed my
suspicions about gluten/casein as well as several others. Most
importantly the test results indicate other things that should be
eliminated. Most importantly, test indicated what dietary adjustments
should be made to SAFELY proceed with diet in our household. And yes,
we are continuing to see daily improvements in her MS. In fact,
yesterday an MRI documented that the active MS lesions she had have
completely resolved. She no longer has ACTIVE MS.
OUTSTANDING!!! Thank God this test was developed as I truly believe
it will make a difference in thousandss and thousands of people's lives.

Welcome, isn't it sad that so many kids could be changed just by diet.
My 10 year old is the same way found out what he was allergic to also.
He is much better, boy can I see when he does eat the wrong food not
fun. If only the school could see this and maybe the lunch program
would be changed. WE can only hope. Debbie
Hi everyone,
my name is Line and I have an 8 year old boy who was tested for food
intolerances 5 years ago. Doctor thought he was ADHD but suggested we
take this path before even thinking about Ritalin. Success! We have
been managing it that way ever since.
I also have a 3 year old boy who was diagnosed in September with Autism
Spectrum Disorder (ASD). When we got the diagnosis, our first call was
to ALCAT. We are nom trying to manage 2 very different diets within
the same kitchen.
Talk about a challenge!
I would like to know if anyone here has read Ann Boroch's book. Her
website is reviews many issues I believe are related to MS. Thought I
would petition you guys for an opinion. Thanks in advance.
Thanks,
Michael
Sixteen years ago my wife was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She had a rather typical progression despite all of what medicine had to offer. She has been on intermittent Solu-Medrol IV, Methotrexate, Avonex, Betaseron, Copaxone, pulse Solu-Medrol, and all the muscle relaxers. It seems that nothing really worked and, in fact, many of the therapies caused her to deteriorate.
Recently, we viewed a ABC News 20/20 special indicating that diet and nutritionals made for a dramatic improvement in a woman's child with autism. I was struck with the possibility that since nutrition and food sensitivities played such a major role in autism, there may well be a relationship between diet and allergens in multiple sclerosis.
Off to Google I went. I found that there is now a tremendous amount of information indicating that MS may be well be a diet centric problem. Thank GOD I have had the experience of working in medicine for 20 years. This experience allowed me to me able to understand what all the literature was saying.
Following an appropriate amount of research we decided to give the recommended diet a chance. Research indicated that my wife and several of her family members must have food allergies to wheat gluten and casein (found in milk). Of the eight, or so, conditions that commonly result from sensitivities to these foods, my wife, here sisters and mother have six (6) of them. Coincidence? I think not.
The dietary alteration was begun on Sunday. On the second day on the diet, I realized that my wife was able to speak and converse with a degree of mental clarity that she had not had for many years. On the fourth day on the diet, I asked her to try to walk. Holding my fingers she rose and walked all the way from one end of the house to the other. It was amazing. She had not been able to walk like this for years.
A curious note: In supporting my wife, my kids and I, all began the same diet. My daughters eczema was completely resolved on the fourth day of the diet. Hurray!!! And yes, eczema is on the list on problems that casein sensitive people commonly experience.
I was excited to hear of the ALCAT test. It is our plan to test the whole family for confirmation of what we now believe to be causing my wife's MS and to facilitate reintroduction of SAFE foods into our diet.

she rose and walked all the way from one end of the house to the
other. It was amazing. She had not been able to walk like this for years.
A curious note: In supporting my wife, my kids and I, all began the
same diet. My daughters eczema was completely resolved on the fourth
day of the diet. Hurray!!! And yes, eczema is on the list on problems
that casein sensitive people commonly experience.
I was excited to hear of the ALCAT test. It is our plan to test the
whole family for confirmation of what we now believe to be causing my
wife's MS and to facilitate reintroduction of SAFE foods into our diet.

I just joined the grp, I'm lloking for some advice...dh is always
sneezing with runny nose and in the afternoons he often has headaches.
Besides an elimination diet, what other way can we find out to what
foods he could be allergic to?
Thank you, Fita
