Hi Cara,
I can totally relate.
I would encourage you to follow your instincts.
I had IBS symptoms for years and was never taken seriously by doctors
nor nutritionists. The symptoms can be either stools that are way too
loose, or stools that are way too dry. I do believe that some good
doctors are out there, but I didn't bump into them.
Then, in 8/07, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I think my body
was too busy fighting my sensitivity foods to get around to fighting
the cancer cells.
Also, I would encourage you to go gluten free and casein free. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Kb9GWOigOM
I am using the book, Eat to Live, by Dr. Joel Fuhrman. It's filling
meals and easy to prepare and follow.
Also, probiotics are helping to build back up all the "good" yeasts.
They take care of bringing the "bad" yeasts back into balance.
It is worth investigating.
Be in touch.
Hugs,
Teresa M.
