Thanks – in the intervening time, I’ve developed plenty of good meals which my family and I can eat.  I’ve also had my middle child tested, and we were working on his issues too.  However, both of us continue to be ill.  I believe I have a major yeast issue which needs to be addressed, because every time I make a yeast bread for my son, I get sick for a day or two.  I don’t know whats wrong w my son tho – now that school is back in session, he’s having the runs every morning again.  Digestive enzymes helped me a lot, and him a bit . . .but I’m almost ready to feed him gluten again, I cant imagine him being any more sick than he already is.  I keep wondering if one of my flours was contaminated, or what, but I cant figure it out.  I need to somehow find a doctor who can help us, but I just don’t trust any I’ve found.  You know, the way they just smile that condescending smile that lets you know they think you’re a hypochondriac?  They give you one or two cheap tests and tell you your fine . . .

Hi Cara,
I know you haven't posted since June, but maybe you'll check in soon.
I have a reluctant family too.
I finally found that by combining the ALCAT lists with the food
suggestions from Dr. Joel Fuhrman, Eat to Live, I can eat HUGE meals
while regaining my health AND dropping the extra weight.
I began in earnest June 23,2008 and have comfortably dropped from
175lbs down to 155, while staying strong and feeling great.
I highly recommend it.
I learned from a library book, but there is a website and plenty of
YouTube interviews with Dr. Fuhrman.
My family is now willing to start lunch and dinner with a big green salad.
Enjoy,
Teresa M.
