This is interesting to know. I am always severly anemic and I do use cast iron pans. I will get checked myself.

Ok, 2 more thoughts then – cooking in cast iron pans as much as possible is actually one way to increase your iron intake. Also, do you know WHY you are anemic? A lot of people who have trouble with gluten cannot absorb anemia until they have been off gluten and had a chance to heal. Some people who have celiac disease say that anemia was their only symptom. Have you checked that out?

I have it but it is bitter and I can take it occationally only.
Bitter herbs and food can cause chest pain and palpitation to me.
I can`t tolerate no iron , no liver tablets now. All i can do eat
liver which is boring and hard to do every day.
