I did call the Alcat and was referred to a local lab but not a doctor in the area. I was
able to speak with someone from the lab after the results were back. Again I am glad
I had the test done. It has been to my advantage.

I was fortunate enough to be able to get the comprehensive panel,
but it was only by God's grace that it worked out that way
because I never could have afforded it with SSI as my only
regular income. At first, I didn't think I'd be able to get the
test because Alcat used to give a discount to Medicaid patients,
but that's no longer the case. I understand just it is very
difficult to get insurance to pay for the test which is crazy.
As for finding someone who will order the test, you could call
Alcat, and they could probably give you the names of health
professionals in your area who work with the test. The
aternative to working with someone in your area is that many
naturopaths and nutritionists will work with people over the
phone.
