Hi everyone,
I have fibromyalgia and have also struggled with depression. My
naturopath recommended the ALCAT test, and I've heard good things
and believe the effort will be worth it. However, I just got my
results and am rather overwhelmed.
SEVERE (red): apples, garlic, mushrooms, peanuts, pork, saffron,
salmon, soybean, tuna
Moderate (orange): anise, barley, bass, beet, brewer's yeast,
broccoli, catfish, cauliflower, cinnamon, coriander, cow's milk,
egg white, lentils, macadamia, oregano, paprika, rye, scallops,
walnut, watercress I also have amoderate reaction to quite a few
food colorings, MSG, polysorbate-80, potassium nitrite, and
fluoride. I also have fifty foods on the mild list.
I don't mean to bore you all, but part (the reason I'm sharing
this much info with you all is because those of you with multiple
sensitivities know how challenging it is to find suitable foods.
My problem is compounded by the fact that I have been totally
blind since birth which leaves me unable to independently read
labels. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of support, so I was
hoping some of you might have helpful suggestions since you've
all had to learn to read labels carefully. Perhaps some of you
with multiple sensitivities might be able to check labels for me
on some of the productsy use.
I look forward to any suggestions and hopefully I can be of some
assistance and encouragement to others as well.
