My two oldest children have been victims of such things. An egg-free
cookie contained eggs and they both had anaphylactic reactions. I
went to the FDA and the company themselves. Nothing was done,
although the FDA did "launch an investigation" that did nothing
whatsoever. I went back to the store of purchase and told them if
they didn't pull those cookies off the shelves or relabel them, they
may actually be party to killing a child. They pulled them. They
were the only ones in the whole "chain" who did. I no longer trust
companies that have EVER had a recall. I get food recall updates from
www.foodallergy.org and they are often a daily email of multiple
recalls. Sickening...
