What an interesting question! Where on earth did you run across that nugget of information?
I didn't get DP, then or ever, but I would be very interested to learn what they theorize is the mechanism of action behind depo Provera that would cause this to happen. It's not preserved with mercury or aluminum, is it? Not just vaccines, but lots of shots use these as preservatives, so its worth finding out. Mercury and aluminum are used in many other medical applications as well.
Fun stuff, eh?

Subject: [foodallergyautism] OT: Depo Shots
Hi everyone,
I was so excited to see Suzanne post about a recipe. Been a long
time since we all have chatted.....
Anyway, I was wondering...
Did any of you get a Depo Provera shot, shortly after giving birth,
while still in the hospital? I did, when DS was less than two days
old. I've been doing some research and came across some very
interesting info about kids having serious food issues and that the
shot shouldn't be given until the baby is 10 days old at the
earliest. Lots of lawsuits out there b/c the doctors are giving it
way to early causing serious food allergies/digestion problems in
infants/toddlers. I'm sure this is only us since my kiddo seems so
much more sensitive than most of yours...he is still only able to eat
three foods...but thought I would ask.
Not sure if any of you are interested in sharing information this
personal but thought I would ask anyway.
Thanks much,
Crystal
