GET READY TO IMPROVE YOUR VISION...!
FOVT: A place where students/practitioners of
OPTOMETRIC VISION TRAINING EXERCISES (AKA VISION THERAPY) who want info about VT can exchange ideas and learn what it's all about.
Discussion of current research in the field, practice materials, software for vision improvement is encouraged.
We want to
FOCUS ON VISION TRAINING (hence the name). Other methods: Bates, Alexander, etc. may also be discussed, but only to a limited extent.
~ GENERAL RULES: No flaming, profanity, or rudeness. Cordiality to each other even in the face of disagreements. Document your position using, links to articles, studies, abstracts, etc.
~ There is
NO DEBATING allowed on FOVT. PLEASE READ THE GROUP POLICIES and RULES: In the Files section.
~ If you have a product that you believe is useful for vision improvement, contact me. I'll decide if it's suitable for this group.
~ Hopefully more VTODs wil join us here. There are too few of you in the world, and we salute you.
FOVT is not intended as a replacement for VT under the care of a VTOD, but as a support group and a source of information. Vision Training, if done properly, is far from easy...! You can do some of the exercises on your own, but I hope you will find a VTOD, as having one as teacher and advisor is the best possible way to effect vision improvement.
~ My website,
Fran's Vision Training Homepage, is, being revised. But my "Introduction to Vision Training" is still published elsewhere on the web:
http://www.i-see.org/vtintro.html. You can read about Vision Training in general, and how I was able to become so successful at it. Please take a look, and visit us often.
