I know this seems like an 'off the wall' question here, but here
goes anyway --
Never been to a dermatologist, but I have a heavy duty doctor
phobia. Along with that, when my blood pressure is measured, 'white
coat syndrome' kicks in. Meaning, that at a doctor's office it
measures higher than it normally is. In fact, I was told on my last
doctor visit a year or so ago to monitor at home and there it is
within normal range.
So to make a long question short -- do dermatologists do the whole
doctor thing -- will my pressure be taken? will I need to undress
and wear a gown? do they check heart and pulse and all that?
My phobia is easier to handle if I know what to expect. My visit is
for a small rough patch on my forehead.
thanks for any info.
