Hi Kristi
I think everyone reacts in different ways to the interferon treatment. But, it
is possible that the two are not related at all. Keep in mind that I am no
expert. Going to thre Pulmonologist is a good idea. If I were her I would ask
if oxygen would help. Maybe an inhaler to open the lungs a little.
I sure am sorry about what she is going through. I hope the treatments help,
and she can get some relief from the breathing problem.
Your friend Angela

Subject: [fight together] trouble breathing

I have a question if anyone knows the answer... My mom has been on
the interferon treatment since January... for the past few months
she is having a very hard time breathing, she can get up and walk 20
feet and then she is panting for breath... could this be a side
effect of the interferon? her cancer dr doesn't seem to disturbed by
it, but to my mom it is very scarey when she can't catch her breath,
she finally went to her GP yesterday and may go see a
pulmonologist....

thanks
kristi
