Hi
Sorry I have not been in contact but LIFE has been very FULL over the last
few months:
-we decided to sell up and move, we prepared the house, and sold up in
November
-my father, who had been deteriorating for several years, took a turn for
the worse and I spent a month supporting him in his last moments
-Christmas
-helping my mother overcome grief and survive against the challenges of
disability
Plus a few fun things like skiing, helping out at the sailing club on island
maintenance, seeing friends, etc
Plus the huge pleasure of just being there for my daughters as they begin to
experience the challenges of working life (well the oldest anyway)
I have also done a bit for a couple of cancer charities - mainly helping
fundraising.
This weekend I am assisting with a Journey Intensive and I am on the
Advanced Skills course on Monday - so I am in a bit of a rush right now.
My last scan is, as usual, ambiguous and it always takes an unexpected turn.
Good news is my remaining liver lesion looks stable and the new lesions
detected last time were not mentioned (although that could be due to the
fact this scan was an ultrasound?), plus bloods were OK. But uncertainty
comes with something doubtful detected in my gall bladder or pancreas (Dad
died of pancreatic cancer) - so I will follow up with my own doctor for a
few other tests. But there was NOT any clear bad news - which itself is
WONDERFUL NEWS.
So I continue with the uncertainties/fears of cancer up front in my face.
This weekend, my intention is to look through the visions of the worst and
see/focus on the sunshine and happiness that is here for the taking - and
what is really important. That is for me the power of meditation - plus the
possibility that by touching base with myself - I might just give that
miraculous system, my immune system, the support and nurturing that enables
it to continue to perform miracles and keep me alive for the moment.
:-)
Love and Healing
Ian
