Ian Here's hoping you feel better from that flu soon. I have loved what you
wrote this year. So sorry for the loss of your father. Hoping your mother will
feel better soon and that you can continue to enjoy each other in this year.

For them and for you my wishes are the same - for a HAPPY and HEATHY New
Year
2007 for me has been traumatic - initially at the beginning of the year both
my parents were unwell and at risk - then they survived - but happenings
occurred and just before Christmas my father's zest for life was finally
stolen from him. It was my deep privilege to have been there for him
throughout the year - and finally at his side during the most demanding
times, and indeed at his very last moment of life.
2008 starts with heath challenges for my Mum.
What is so clear to me is that we all will die - and we do not serve
ourselves well by either stressing over that certainty - or by focusing on
it.
On December 19 2003 and about 11.20 a.m. a top specialist at possibly the
top UK cancer hospital gave me the 'truth'
-with the spread of cancer into my liver and lungs I had about 6 months - of
which about 50% would be quality time - chemotherapy was the best option but
'would not improve my longevity'
Well, even with flu, I have quality time here and now at the end of 2007 -
about 16 times the prognosis of quality time.
So my message to you is one of HOPE
-deeply reflect upon your own body and what makes sense to help it battle -
take the medications - and ENJOY and make the best of what time you have -
it will always be too short - and when it ends, it ends for infinity
Love and Healing
Ian
