Re: [fight together] Re: Treating Basal cell carcinoma

Thanks Jim:

Looks like the cancers are both in the same spot for both of us. Hoping mine
comes out as good as yours

hi how u doin..i have had 2 basel cell's..one on the ip of my nose and
other on my cheek as well, was in the cheek fold(they call it the nasal
canal)and im only 33..the first one on my nose was back in 2002,i went
for 2 opinions and one doctor did suggest mohs,my personal
dermatoligist,who i went to for acne when i was a teenager,took another
view, that has worked out very well for me..since he took my age into
consideration and i didnt have this basel long,he suggested a burn and
scrape.which has worked for me.the basel cell was not deep and what he
did was scape the basel cell then used something not sure if it was a
laser or what and burned the skin around the basel cell..this procedure
is 95%succes rate, and 5 years later my nose is good, just have a little
shiny white spot, bout the size of a small dime on edge of my nose..now
the one on my cheek that i just had done back in june,i had taken and
stiched, took 8 stiches and i just have a little pnik line about the
size od a half a inch..and that has healed much faster then my
nose..nose took about couple months..any question get back too me..i
know firsthand how much this experience sucks...lol..but im living
proof u can come out of this fine, and still lookin good...jim
