this is the first I have heard of that suggestion - but maybe in your case
if the melanoma was near to a blood supply to your eyes, there might be some
sense in it

maybe ask your new oncologist - and meanwhile (given there is much still to
be learnt) also take the old advice

but whatever - do not stress
