Hi Sue I also had to fire my oncologist because of the incompetence of his
staff. I was
referred to another oncologist this last Friday. He instructed me to get my
eyes examined
because melanoma can spread to your eyes and he said if this happens it is
very
aggressive. Prior to this, no one ever mentioned the need for it. I will be
seeing an eye
doctor this week so if I were you I would definitely go ahead and have them
checked.

I wanted to ask if anyone was sent to an eye doc after being
diagnosed with melanoma? My oncologist ( new one, I fired the old one)
at the Pluta Cancer Center suggested I see an eye doc yearly as
melanoma can come back behind the eye. In all the things I have read
and the docs I saw, no one mentioned that. Anyone else heard of it?
