i have a question. I have had squamous cell carcinoma (oral) on my
tongue. Five years next month is when i was diagnosed. In July five
years ago i had surgery. No flair up until 2 months ago. My tongue
felt like it was on fire. Around the edges of my tongue were very red
and irritated. a couple of days later i had a white coating on both
sides. After a day or two the white coating would peel off and leave
what i would call burnt skin. i have a lot of bumps on both sides.
That went on for about 2 months. I went to my primary care phys. and
she said it probably was affiliated with the cancer, but he was going
to treat it like the thrush. I to med. for the thrush. I have an
appt with a oral surgeon on Monday Apr.30. Can anyone that has had
this tell me if it can come back like that or what. I have a few
patches of white bumps that were left when the last episode of the
white coating disappeard. It hasnt come back in about a week now.
But my tongue is very irritated with the patches of white. I would
like your imput. Thanks Ronda Lovett
