I am new to the group. My mom has been diagnosed with Malignant
Melanoma. They only found it in her lymph node so this is very
encouraging. We go today to the surgeon to schedule surgery to remove
the lymph node and the surrounding lymph nodes. My moms name is Sally
for prayer purposes.
I am 26 yrs old and me and my mom have already faced breast cancer
back in 99. Im scared, and from other forums have found discouraging
statistics. I recieved 13 negative responses and only 3 possitive
meaning 13 from grieving family members and 3 from survivors or
fighters. I created a group on msn. I would like to know if its ok to
post a link to it. Its a message board that is divided into two
sections one for the grievers and one for the fighters. I feel more
safe with protection from recieving messages from grievers.
I would like to request only fighters to reply to my posts in this
group. I do not wish to hear about your long fight and loss in the
end. I know you need to talk and vent about your problems but I am
not strong enough to handle your vent posts. So Thank you for
respecting my request. If you have coping skills that got you through
each fighting day you are more than welcome to let me know of these,
just please dont end the email with "but she didnt make it" or
whatever the case maybe. I seriously cannot handle this type of news.
