Hi,
Just wanted to ask for prayers for my family as my husband,Everett has to
see a neurologist and a surgeon on Monday as he has been in terrific pain and
they have found some further problems with him and due to Lipitor he has lost
alot of muscle tissue in his legs!
My brother,Lawrence has got Paget's Disease back with a vengence and is
now on different pain medications. The Paget's seemed to be in remission for
awhile but is now flaring up terribly.
I have been suffering terribly with my left leg [swelling all the way
down into my foot] and pain terrible. Have had some tests but know nothing yet
and with Christmas upon us I HAVE to be on my feet preparing things and getting
our tree up and cards done!! It hasn't been easy at all and I AM taking alot of
shortcuts this year [like decorating our tree with silver and gold lights and
right now only has small red velvet bows on the tips of EVERY branch. Everyone
loves it so may just leave it like that this year. EVERY year before I've went
all out and put all of the decorations the kids have made over the
years,ornaments,lights,garland,and angels on it but this year all of that is
still packed away!! Christmas will be very slim here anyway as we have had so
many expenses and high cost gas and power bills -- BUT we're alive plus able to
walk-talk-hear-smell-and love and God is with us all plus we have a roof over
our heads,lights,heat,some food,our family and friends nearby so God has Blessed
us. I feel so badly for all of the evacuees and thier families and the many
children without parents this year

We had a small fire here and I'm still cleaning up from that! I'm
THANKING God that we were home!
The fire started INSIDE a plug in in the laundry room. "I" smelt smoke and a
rubbery smell and got to the back of the house as quickly as I could hobble and
yelled for Everett to shut the main fuse box down right away! The smoke was
coming out of the wall and around the plug in and had started to burn the
surrounding wall! We got the power off and the smoke and fire just seemed to
stop --so we called the landlord [IF the fire would have kept up we would have
called 911] and waited for five hours for him to get here without any
lights,heat,and not knowing what all was damaged INSIDE the wall. He finally
came and changed the plug in box [that was melted and even the plug in unit was
melted] the wall was all black and I cleaned that and they checked the power
lines and wires here before they turned the main fuse box back on. After they
turned the power back on we have had no further problems but AM keeping our
noses and eyes busy. We NOW have two more more alarms in the back of the house
as the fire was in the laundry area and that is totally to the back of our house
where Everett&I and Desiree's bedroom are and the bathroom plus the laundry
room. IF we hadn't been here --I don't think we would have a roof over our
heads as the fire would have spread very fast!! Of course it HAD to happen on
a very cold day as it got very chilly in here in no time at all and our laundry
room water and drain froze up and I couldn't wash for three days until they
thawed out! Please pray that the fire never returns!!

Got to get busy here as I am making a few things for gifts and I need to
get them finished while Desiree' is in bed. Take care and keep in touch
