Amy & Paula

do not get stressed out about it - you have had a small superficial cancer and
you have had it taken off - so it is probable that you will be OK for a very
long time.

When I first was where you are today - I heard that the body has the capability
to cure itself from cancers - but it needs to be in very good condition - so
take this as a wake-up call to improve your diet, reduce stress and generally
get fitter

But do what the medics say

Love and healing

Hi Paula and everyone,

I am new to the list too, and thought this would be a good time to
introduce myself. Paula, I was also recently dignosed with malignant
melanona originating from a mole. I did exactly what your
dermatologist recommended that you do: got myself to a plastic
surgeon and had the cancer and surrounding area removed. Mine was
contained in the tissue that was removed, but it sure was scary
waiting to hear back from the lab. I think the scarier part is
looking at all the other freckles and moles I have and wondering
which one is/ is going to be cancerous next. It seems that every time
I have a spot biopsied, it is dysplastic. With my history, the
recommendation is always to have the area excised. The melanoma was
removed three months ago, but since then, I have had six more moles
excised and stitched up. It IS overwhelming and a lot to take in.

Amy
