Dear List(s),
Several nights a woman some may have known from this list and other
lists died of an overdose of Oxycontin. In America right now we are on
a rampage to maintain the MEDICAL rights of those in NIP (nonmalignant
intractable pain) and pain management with opioids.
1. Opioids in particular the LA (long acting) are researched to
proved the BEST and safest method of treating incurable
pain disorders.
2. The DEA in America has taken over medical management by
arresting physicians and overriding medical and professional
decision making, physicians are being arrested for murder,
and other sundry and ill founded claims.
3. Pain patients who are desperate (we have lost 26,000
physicians practicing pain management in 4 years with only
4,000 remaining and med students being told NOT to practice
this specialty) MUST not hit the streets.
Without a doubt the climate is ripe for further demise of those in PAIN
and
their physicians. However, the LOSS of one pain client by wrong methods
lays a framework of further feeding the DEA machine that is now costing
millions of lives daily.
This woman had NIP but was not prescribed Oxycontin. Without further
explanation the overdose was on Oxycontin included with her regular
medications (hydrocodone and muscle relaxers), and for whatever reason
physicians in her location would not give the drug, we must once again
stand back and take accountability.
My respect and love goes to her 5 children and grandchildren, her
husband, and family members. I am disappointed she chose this method,
for all of YOU in NIP will suffer. It is yet another statistic to flaunt
against
Purdue who was FORCED by the FDA to remove Palladone; one of the
medications recently released in the U.S. one I might add that in
conjunction with my other 2 (long acting) medications keep me alive.
Can you die of pain?
1. Yes
2. My CNS (central nervous system shuts down)
What is the solution?
1. Treatment records kept daily for now patients are arrested not
just their physicians.
2. Due to the demise of our PM specialists please keep your current
physician and DO NOT allow your medications out of sight.
3. NEVER go on the street for medication or pain relief NEVER.
We must exert a responsible claim.
I am launching a campaign to educate the President and First Lady; being
from Midland, Texas and knowing the decency of these folks it is a God given
fight that we must wage to allow the leaders to see what PAIN is, how it is
properly treated and that NIPers are not addicts.
Cyn from OCPM will be working with me and I am asking for all in the
Convention group who are truly interested in being a part of a fight in
America
to protect rights, and physicians to come forth. You may email your intent at
AnAnGeLPlan@... if interested.
As for the life lost we pray, however, for THE MANY LIVES AFFECTED I
implore each of you NEVER to seek relief on the streets.
Blessings,
Karen G.
