Hallo!
I am from Romania and I am a mother of a boy who was born at 31 weeks
(7 and half mounts), without oxigen, and after one year he was
diagnosed with cerebtal palsy.
Since than he had received conventional therapies for this disease,
like kinetotherapie, ergotherapie,injections with botox to his legs
every 6 mounths and recently vojta therapie.
Now he is 5 years old and he is stil not walking by himself, only by
both hands support or by one hand, but for very short distances, he
seats, but his position is very incorrect, he can crowle or "walk in 4
legs", he cannot stand up without support,he cannot write or draw in
the level of his age, he speeks fluently 2 languages(in a litlle
disarctic way), he is very clever, but he does not have the willing of
walking or standing.
We tried almost all methods to make him to be more active and to
fight more for to pass his problem, but with not very good results.
We read about feldenkrais method ("functional integration")wich was
applied to a boy of 6 years old with cerebral palsy by Chava Selhav
Silberbush for 1 year, in 1987, with very good results.
We are very interested to know if exists the possibility for our boy
to receive some lessons of feldenkrais, here, in Romania.
