Hello Everyone,

As you might already know, starting this month, we are organizing new weekly movement classes and you can choose either one of these two options (or both):

Option 1:

At the National Center for Dance (within the National Theater Building) the classes will be "Expression Through Movement".  These 90 minutes classes will focus on movement, going through three main stages - Awareness, Discovery, and Creativity.  For those who want to experience an energizing yet introspective journey through movement, this might be the class for you.  Bring all your stress (plus some water and a towel) and you will be surprised how much of it will turn to positive energy. 
The National Center for Dance will charge 105 RON for four classes.

Classes will be held every Saturday, with a first two-hour introductory workshop (which we strongly recommend) on Friday, February 15th, at 5PM (we know what the Bucharest traffic is like, but please try to be there no later than 5:30PM).  The CNDB and us have set the participation fee for this seminar at 15 RON per person.


Option 2:

At a private dance studio, every Tuesday night, from 6:30PM to 8:00PM, we will offer "Awareness Through Movement" Classes.  These classes are specifically designed for those with chronic pain, high levels of mental and/or emotional stress.  However, everyone is welcomed to participate, just keep in mind that these classes are slower, and do not incorporate dance exploration.  Awareness Through Movement techniques are part of the Feldenkrais Method.  Each class is 25 RON or 80 RON for four (4) classes paid in advance.

All classes will be held in English.

Instructor: Catrina Choate (Guid Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner). 
Throughout her career, Catrina has trained in classical Ballet and Modern Dance - working professionally with well-know choreographers and companies in the United States.  A Feldenkrais Practitioner for more than 10 years, she combines her study and experience of movement into an enjoyable and effective style of teaching.
