I did the light and fit yogurt the whole time. Could not go the plain yogurt.
Did use the plain low-fat yogurt in place of sour cream/cream cheese though.
Now I actually prefer low fat plain yogurt to real sour cream. Real sour cream
seems like your eating blobs of fat.
You can do look on the FAQ section in the database and there are some things
Dr Ian approved such as soy nuts that helped me. Also the important thing with
this diet is to try new things. You may have to eat them a couple times to
develop a taste for them. We tried mangoes, and tofu and several other new
things. Remember this is a life style change not just a short term diet. Other
wise when you go back to your old foods you will regain the weight. Also the
rice cakes with the brown rice in them he ok'd are easy to travel with. It does
say if you have to you can use can fruit. So look for something as natural and
no added sugar, etc as you can to take with you. They have some in snack packs.
Bananas, oranges, apples all travel well and are easy to eat.

Hi I am new an in day 8 of phase 1. So far so good, I am getting a
little bored with the food however I am not hungry and have defintely
lost weight. I followed the diet from the web and just received the
book in the mail yesterday. I will start phase 2 thursday. In phase 1
the book says 3 tablespoons of low fat dressing in phase two 2
tablespoons of non fat. Is this lite dressing or non fat? I actually
have not had any salad, been eating cooked vegetables. Also he says 2
cups of brown rice every other day in phase two. Is okay to have 1 cup
a day? Yogurt is light n fit okay or is it supposed to be nonfat? One
other question I am doing an antique show this weekend any suggestions
for picnic type food there is no way to heat anything? We spend the
night there so I will need to bring three meals.
Thanks kat
