Thx for the encouragment, I feel that it is time for me to go for it,
I am going to go shopping later on tonight and pick up some stuff to
get ready to start tommarow with phase 1. Now my question is, are
there any others in here with more reciepies to get me started on
phase 1. I like that spagetti squash, it seems good and not that hard
to make, and since Im not a cook, or any kind of expert on cooking,
that sounds great. I have a couple questions also that I have been
thinking of, now would lifting weights be considered as any type of
cardio workout or not really, that would be considered as something
different? Or would it just be better for me to work out in the
morning lifting, if its a lifting day, and then do some kind of cardio
at night, like jogging or biking. Also, would it be better to eat
before you work ou, and I mean like 30 min before, or would it
actually be better to eat after the workout? Another quest I have is
what is the difference between a light snack and a heavy snack. Like
what would you consider to be a light snack as opposed to a heavy
snack, is that just the amount you eat. Sorry to have all these
question, just want to know I will be starting on the right track. thx

for the first 9 days is fruit. Being a midwestern raised girl I love
meat and potatoes. I have however learned to love my veggies. Right
now I actually prefer them over most meats. To really get the most
out of this first phase I would suggest trying some new things. Like
spaghetti squash with a nice homemade marinara or grilled marinated
portobella mushrooms for a meat substitute. Also a nice homemade
hummus with veggie sticks makes a nice snack. I have several recipes,
as I am an avid "home-chef". I will start sharing some soon. Fruit
smoothies made with soy milk and fresh or frozen( with out sugar)
fruit and yogurt also are very good. I am not a fruit eater by
nature, I much rather eat my veggies, but if they are in a smoothie I
am all in. Just be mindful of how much dairy you put in. I also
make a killer brown rice pudding.

are great support! and often times more empathetic. My husband did
not start out doing this diet with me. As he has no real weight to
lose. He is how Gunner was on the show. I know even for me it gags
me. He has however lost weight while I have and he has learned to
enjoy a wider range of veggies, like the spaghetti squash which is now
one of his favorites. (just pierce it with a knife a few times and
cook in the microwave for about 7 minutes or until soft. Then cut in
half, scoop out the seed core, then with a fork scrap the sides. It
will look like spaghetti and taste very similar. you can eat it right
from the shell. I like to add a little sauce to mine or a bit of
olive oil, salt and pepper. )

However, for the first time in years (actually several years) I
jogged for the first time. It was not for a long stretch but enough
for me to keep adding intervals of it into my workout. On days that I
don't feel I have time for a full workout I jump on my mini-trampoline
and use my resistance bands for at least 20 minutes each.

or ill. I have felt great from the third day! There really is no
reason you can not do this and be successful. Please don't let your
own misconceptions and fear hold you back. We are here to help and
listen.
