You don't have to count calories on the diet if you stay within what the diet
says. Watching and reducing portions as you go through the phases. Doing the
detox phase 1 at least one day a week is suppose to help cut back the calories,
etc. We did start counting our calories every once in awhile to see how we are
doing. So it would hurt to keep a food journal every once in awhile and count
them up to see how your doing.

Okay everyone I'm getting ready to start the detox next week. I haven't
been doing the FS diet or any diet really for the last several weeks. I've just
been watching what I eat and the amount, but was still losing 1-3 pounds a
week. Anyway, I have about 50 pounds to go to get to my goal weight by
Christmas, so I'm hoping to at least be half way there or all the way there by
that
time. My question to the group is, is it necessary to count calories when
we are on this diet?
