My husband has been following Gary's trek across the US, and has
mentioned to me a few times t hat he really likes the Fast-5
concept. My first "glance" at it - I told him he was insane, we all
needed balanced meals throughout the day! Finally, he suggested we
buy the book and see what it has to say, and go from there. We did
just that. I read the book, and I am feeling 'OK' about the
information, and told my husband i'd be willing to give it a try.

We have tried countless ways of dieting. We have done Master
Cleanse, Dr. Phil, Atkins, Using a dessert plate for meals instead
of a dinner plate and more.. in the past three years that we have
been married.

My husband and I weigh so much, that our goal weight, is actually
loosing one whole person between the two of us. We both weight 300
lbs. He is 5'6" and I am 5'2". His healthy weight seems to be
around 135-150, and my healthy weight seems to be around 110-125.
So, if you add both of us, right now - it's 600 pounds. Then, if
you add our average of healthy weight it's 260 pounds. Amazing...

My husband seems to be able to manage until 4PM before he eats, we
just begun this past Tuesday. I on the other hand am taking baby
steps. I love to eat, I am addicted to eating, everything I do
around me, associates with eating.. It's no fun - if there's no
food! Today I am aiming for 1:00. Bottled water on the elft side of
my keyboard, and I am hoping to make it! ;)

So, here we are giving this a try - I hope we're successful with
this! I am even looking into those Dinner's Ready companies, where
you make your meals for the month, and just pull them out of the
freezer and bake it, so that I have less time in the kitchen. I
even plan on getting the basics breakfast and lunches for our four
girls.

Thanks for listening to me ramble on, while I slowly try to get that
dang 20 oz steamed breve with caramel sauce and whipcream out of my
head!! :)
