Hi Nancy, Welcome!
My name is Tara and I have been on Fast 5 since Oct. 2005. I am at my
goal weight and am still living the fast 5 way. The benefits are
many, not just weight loss. My whole family is on it now and it is a
simpler way of living. I love eating what I want and planning for my
window. However, I still get hungry. I think that is an important
thing to emphasize to those just starting or are adjusting. You still
get hungry. The difference, once your body is adjusted to burning a
"new" fuel is that hunger is no longer the overwhelming, overcoming
thing it once was. Even when I feel strong hunger, a glass of water,
or diet coke or other non-caloric beverage usually makes it pass. The
"new" fuel of course is the glucose produce by your own body rather
then the food you consume. So, hunger is a mind over matter sort of
thing. It really is a decision you make every day. Well, I am still
happy after eight months of the fast-5 way! I told my daughter that
when I get old and she puts me in a nursing home that she better make
sure they only feed me after 5pm.
How are you doing Arlene?
Tara
