Description

Families of Young Girls with Autism


This community is open to families who have a young daughter with an autism spectrum disorder: Autism, Asperger Syndrome, PDD-NOS, High-Functioning Autism, etc. Often we find more boys diagnosed with an ASD than we do girls. Sometimes it just nice to connect with another family with a girl affected by autism.

This is an open minded group. We want everyone to feel welcome and supported here. We also welcome those who suspect their daughter may have an autism spectrum disorder but have not yet received a diagnosis. We've all been there at one point or another.

Topics of discussion include but not limited to: seeking a diagnosis, therapy options, supplements found to be helpful, early intervention, sharing successes, support for hard issues, discussing new research, sibling issues or transition to public school, etc.
