Welcome to the Factor V Leiden Support Group!

We are an online support group for those who have been diagnosed or have loved ones who have been diagnosed with Factor V Leiden (FVL for short).

Factor V Leiden is a hereditary genetic disorder that causes the blood to clot more than it should. While FVL in itself is harmless, it significantly increases the chances of life threatening complications such as blood clots, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), strokes (CVA), heart attacks, and pulmonary embolisms (PE). In women it also increases the chance of miscarriage.

Please join us and feel free to post your story of how you found out you have FVL, ask questions, make friends, or just lurk in the shadows. No one will ever be forced to participate.

This is a family oriented support group for all ages, therefore adult language and content is strictly forbidden.
