I have been silent for a long time about all of the criminal activity
within this organization.  Now my silence has come to an end.

The Musas are not bullet proof, and I will testify against them if
the Florida attorney general will contact me.

This is their Achille's heal:
The Musas set up a bogus corporation called Southwestern Medical to
pay their eyedoctors.  Southwestern Medical was more than likely a
limited liability corporation out of Florida.  Optometrists and
ophthalmologists cannot be hired by anyone but other professionals.
State lawas prohibit "lay persons from hiring professionals."  This
is a big no-no.

Well, the Musas thought they would be clever and set up this
corporation to make it look like other medical professionals were
paying their eye doctors.  All one has to do is go on record to see
who the primary shareholders were of Southwestern Medical Corporation
and the answer will be the Musas.

Now, here is where they really get in trouble.  They had this
corporation set up through 2001 and 2002 at least.  Every time they
mailed a paycheck to a doctor in the mail they were commiting federal
mail fraud.  (When you certify that your documents are true and not
false in the mail, this is federal mail fraud.)

If anyone recalls history, this is how Al Capone was finally put in
jail.  I have all of my old paycheck stubs, making this an easy and
long lasting conviction for a state prosecutor.  I will not hesitate
to offer testimony.

If a state agency reads this please respond to my e-mail and I will
assist in any way I can and turn over all documents.

I am an eye doctor that used to work for LVI.  I have no problem
coming forward to help Florida or any other state investigative board.

Amy White is a dangerous, dangerous woman:

I had the opportunity to work with her and she thought she was a
doctor and began refracting patients and clearing them for refractive
laser eye surgery.  I never even got to see the charts because she
refracted them (apparently she was an ophthalmology technician) in
her prior job.

Amy White apparently receives a bonus to keep the salaries of other
employees down.  Imagine that every time that one of the employees
hired for a few dollars an hour gets ripped off on their money, it's
because Amy is reaping a bonus for keeping the salary expense cost
down to a certain level.

There are enough doctors out there to give powerful testimony.  Here
are the ones that I am aware of through the grape vine:

1) Dr. Jill Buck, optometrist, Florida
2) An ophthalmology group in Washington
3) A group by the name of Four Seasons Eye Care in Minnesota
4) Dr. Karen Stonebreaker, formerly of LVI in Atlanta, Georgia

There head optometrist is Dr. Matt Marsich.  Because he is an
optometrist if one leans on him enough he will crack.  The reason
being:  he has a license and profession at stake.  If the threat of
testifying vs. yanking his licenses is applied, he will opt for
survival.  He is one of your best bets to testify against the
company.  I know for certain he is licensed out of Virginia,
Wisconsin, Illinois, and a few other states.  Those licensing boards
must be contacted to put pressure on Matt Marsich.

Please pass this on to an appropriate state board or board member in
Wisconsin, Illinois, or Georgia.

Strategy wise, in order to get to the Musas, you must first put
pressure on their henchman.  The henchman, the optometrist's have an
Achille's heal in that they risk losing their licenses.  Faced with
the daunting task of never working a day again in their life or
testifying they will testify.

does anyone know how to get involved with one of the lawsuits against
the company? i know quite a bit about drug abuse and unsanitary
conditions in the biggest store in the company.  i also know that
there are people on the inside right now that are recording
everything that is going on so that when it is their time to go, they
get the big payoff.  anyone with knowledge, please get in contact
with me.

You know...after taking enough sh** from this company (LVI) It's time
to shut the down. If you are even thinking of Lasik please save
yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. I know because I know exactly
what the Musa's want! MONEY! It doesn't matter who you are, where
you're from, how long you've worked for the company...NOTHING! If you
can pad their pockets THEY WANT YOU!

Wonder why there are so many lawsuits???? How about all of the
employees filing a class action suit for being forced to work in
unsafe / unsanitary working conditions! How about lying to the
public> How about the $299 Bull**** Ads! I think possibly 1 out of
200 could qualify for the price but these are people who really never
needed the surgery anyway!

Most of the doctors in the company are nothing but money hungry
number promoters who earn about $75 per eye! Hmmm....50 patients= 100
eyes= $7500 per day x 3-4 surgery days per week is at least $20K per
week per center. If the company average is $1000.00 per eye, country
wide, 31 centers at 150 eyes/week = 4650 eyes at $1000 per eye
$4,650,000 per week! Holy Shit! Thats a big party Marco and Marc

unit.  I took this job for the chance to travel and see the world.
Instead, I was forced to do pre and post of on patients and I had NO

charge AMY WHITE basically wanted me to do pre/post op on patients.

for the last guy to post... you got hosed.
i just quit egw at greenwood indiana, the number 1 store in the
company and i can attest to the fact that they scam everyone. if you
would have complained or threatened to walk....you could have paid no
more than 499 an eye even with your astigmatism and life time
enhancements.
also, i quit the company due to the horrible medical practices and
the rampant drug use.  employees and upper management would
frequently engage in drug use together and be paid with company
dollars to score drugs for the owners and national managers when they
were in town.  The lab would frequently use standard plastic lenses
when the customer had a note from their own doctor prescribing
polycarbonate lenses, as well as numerous other illegal medical
practices.
since i have left, i have heard that they have been bought by the
visioncare corporation and that the musa brothers only own a minority
share now.  everyone has been told that their jobs are no longer
secure and the coke head area managers and regionals are all scared.
ive also learned that they are getting rid of the "walk out" pricing
and the prices of frames will be on each one of them.
all in all, my time there was the worst experience of my life and i
would never recommend anyone go there, because you WILL get screwed,
either through pricing, or the fact that your glasses are not what
they say they are.

I cant speak for anyone else, but EGW/LVI was the best thing that
ever happened to me. I was lured in by the $299 deal. However when
it was all said and done, add $200 extra for my astigmatism, add
$200 extra per eye for elective insurance incase I needed
adjustments later, my total was just over  $1300... Not bad for
LASIK. Infact, incredibly cheap. It was a great experience and I
highly recommend them.. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I have filed a lawsuit aginst EGW here in Las Vegas for an
Optometrist who used to work at EGW locations here and in Reno,
Nevada. I would like to talk to other former employees about
accounting and billing practices or related problems others have had

I am a current employee of EGW in their West region.  My Regional
manager is Kris Schrage, if you want I can give you his cell phone
number.  He told our store that if someone needed corporate to give
the corporate number, 1-800-584-4150 and give his extension 3062, to
any patient with a problem.  If he heard a problem patient, we call
them PIA's, he would just delete the message.  My assistant manger
quit after being allowed to finish her 2 week notice period.  She
left because she didn't feel like lying to the pt's by using the
phone qoute sheet.  Where are the $29 SV lenses?  Where are the $59
FT Bifocals?  Where are the $89 progressives?  When I asked Kris this
he said we USED to sell AO Truvision for $89 a pair.  What a crock.

   An area manger came in today and asked how much for SV clear and
suns in a Guess and Liz Claiborne frame would cost I told her
orignally $149 for the frame and $59 for the lenses and $38 for tint
it came to $246 + Tax.  she left without taking a card and returned
10 minutes later and stated Pearle qouted me 2 for $120 can you match
it.  I said the best I could do is for for $138 complete with free
exam.  She wrote me up.  F**K her.

I have been in Optics for 6 years.  I am an ABO Certified Optician, I
feel like I am a used car sales man.

   Has anyone told the public about the fact tags on the frames?  On
the tags where the info on the frame is those 9 large numbers are
actually prices the Musa brothers want to sell the frame at. Just
substitute a 1 for any 6 in the code.  The 1st block of 3 numbers is
what the frame should be sold at, the last 3 numbers are the average
or next price down.  the middle 3 are the lowest they want it sold at.

But if you seem unsure about the sale, balk at the price and you can
get ANYTHING for 2 pairs complete for $99.00

You wont see any higher Ups   until   They need or
want something  from you then you wil hear It all or
if you didnt do what u were suppose to do......

Good luck to YOU   took me  a  few years  to  really
get to know them .... Your arent considered a loyal
employee  even after YEARS of employement  with them n
worked  you Butt off  They are only out for  themselves........

I have been working with EGW for a few months and just started doing
research (a little too late?) on the Internet about the company.  I
have not had any bad experiences so far, but now I am weary after
reading the posts here.

I don't want to be unemployed at a time like this, but if things do
start to become bad... I won't hesitate to get out ASAP.

I don't expect to meet any of the higher ups until after the first of
the year.  Will keep you all posted of how it goes

These guys are the biggest crooks in the business.  Did you know that they
got fined 1/2 million dollars by the Florida Attorney General.  Did you know
they are being investigated for racketeering.  Did you know that there are 2
class action suits pending.  Finally did you know they were investigated and
fined by the Florida department of labor for cheating employees out  of
bonuses and overtime pay,they also had to give back pay.

It is obvious you didn't reasearch this company before you agreed to sell
your soul to them( that is what you do if you choose to work for them).  They
should take these guys out(the Musas when they get Bin Laden.....the world
will be a better place.

I moved 1600 miles to egw, think I was getting a great company and job
stability.  I quite at egw because they promise a 90 day raise which is not
policy to give to employees no more.  But, my 90 day was a promotion to
assistant manager, for the Peoria store.  I fought for two months on my eval
getting retro for only one month out of two, but never recieved my money or
retro.  I took a four day weekend and kris schrage the regional manager said
he would investigate and call me back.  When they say they will call back,
don't expect a call in this lifetime.  I got back and I hear that the
brothers have put a freeze on all raises because of the economy.  The egw
economy is doing just fine in our district, so I don't know what they are
talking about.
If anyone could help me that is an old employee who has been done wrong by
egw please email me I have a case building and need your help.
