Well, I have seen the light.
ANYONE WHO READS THESE POSTINGS ABOUT EYEGLASS WORLD PAY ATTENTION!
I have experienced some of the bad practices of this company. Mary
Beth Lamb does curse and yell at you. I think she enjoys the thrill
of it...
They WILL put SV plastic lenses into frames that had polycarbonate
lenses sold for.
They pull that switch on children. Imagine, your child is playing
baseball and the ball is hit and flies through the air and smacks
your child in the face and the glasses get hit. Shards of broken
PLASTIC lenses end up in your childs eye. MAJOR EYE DAMAGE! But
Doctor these were supposed to be safety poly lenses for kids, that
what I PAID FOR!!! Well, if you bought them at eyeglass world there
is a chance they pulled a switcheroo. Are you going to take the risk
with your child?
They bump RX's up or down a .25 diopter CONSISTENTLY if out of a
particular size.
AND, if you fully concentrate all your attentions as a general
manager on sales and nothing else...You are gold.
If you concentrate on product quality, rx accuracy, correct glasses
adjustment, picking out the correct frames for a customer,
troubleshooting, and lab quality control then "Your head is up your
ass!" and that's a direct MB Lamb quote.
If you come to work with this group of deceivers only focus on sales
if you want to survive. And be sure to basically tell customers to go
to hell if they want a refund. DO THESE THINGS and you are a
SUPERSTAR in their eyes.
This company only cares how much you "GET" someone for in sales. A
common approach to customers (and this is a nationwide culture) after
the sale is"Man, I "got him/her for 500.00" is common. Not how much
you sold or what items you sold that were best for the customer.
ONLY MONEY!
They call you a General LEADER. Leader, what I friggin joke. As
long as you the LEADER are in perfect lockstep with what they tell
you to do, you are the best leader. Common thing amongst
managers, "DO NOT try to change anything JUST DO WHAT YOU ARE TOLD...
Beware of Eyeglass World. What a waste of my time, thank god I
decided to get out.
Goodbye Eyeglass World and thank you for giving me for the first time
in my 21 years of experience, A TRULY BAD PLACE TO WORK FOR!!!
Sincerely,
ENLIGHTENED
