I don't know about your State laws? But here in CA there is no such
term as "Wrongful termination". This is an "at will" state which
means unless you sign a contract guaranteeing your time with the
company...you can be let go or quit for any and no reason.
The only thing saving my Hubby from being just let go, is the fact
that he was seeking treatment for his injuries, and he was asking for
bonuses/commissions that were earned but never paid (they had the
store listed as "no lab manager" so the earned commissions were not
paid). They fired him right in the middle of that. THAT kind of
firing is a huge no-no. The only time in CA that you have a wrongful
termination is if you can show that the act of firing you was for
exersizing your protected rights.
