Yea, I had lasik done at LVI in Houston, TX and before I had the surgery I
decided I did not want the stupid plugs they claim need to be put in your tear
ducts for $300. They gave me a choice of either not having the surgery and
leaving the place or paying for the plugs because they claim they had specially
ordered a pair for me. Of course, I was dropped off there for my surgery so I
was definitely going to have it done or sit there for four hours with no ride to
get picked up anyways. But after surgery they tried one pair of plugs and they
were too big so they through them in the garbage can and got a smaller pair of
plugs for me. I asked how come they could just throw a pair of plugs away if
they costs so much they would not let me cancel them on my order....nobody had
an answer for me to that. The policy says to have an eye check up once a year
to maintain the life insurance plan...it does not say u have to have it done
there...but ask LVI and they will say you have to have it
done there once a year for $100.
