Friend,
<<My abdomen is full of tumor which is inoperable>>
Is this felt to be solely due to the recurrence at the site of the
primary? No disease in liver/lungs? If this is the case you should
get a consult w/ Dr. Paul Sugarbaker of Washington, DC
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/suthercon/periton.htm
Cytoreductive surgery (where they resect everything possible)
followed by heated intraperitoneal chemo (infused directly into
abdomen after surgery) might be a way to go...this has been
successful in some "hopeless" cases, actually resulting in improved 5-
year survival for patients who can be downstaged to resectable
disease.
There are several posters on the "companion" board to this one,
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/colon_cancer_support/
who have cases similar to yours (cancer in abdomen but not in
organs)...one is going to Ohio State and is on Camptosar prior to
surgery/Intraperitioneal Chemo.
Best Wishes,
Keith
