II. Weekly Cut & Paste: 快樂秘方

1、 宣布今天為「我」日
列出五件你喜歡但很少做的事,例如:買件漂亮的衣服、浸泡泡
浴、看場好電影、聽美美的音樂、選本喜歡的書坐在麥當勞裡喝
著咖啡聽著音樂,累時偶而抬頭欣賞來來往往的人群。你也可以
為自己一起爭取做這五件事。

2、 不要說:「只要我減掉十公斤,只要我有男朋友,只要我換
了新工作,我就會快樂。」為何將快樂推到以後呢?完成一件工
作,讀完一篇文章,整理房間,洗完今天的衣服,即使是小小的
成功,也能帶給你快樂。

3、 讓自己忙一些
勿嘗試迴避世界,你越忙於工作和交友,你就越能將憂慮拋在腦
後。

4、 為他人做些好事
這不僅可以使你的情緒脫離痛苦,而且也因此使別人得到快樂。
你看:你是個多麼好的人呀!

5、 微笑,認真的微笑
研究顯示,我們可以「騙」我們的身體進入快樂的狀態,即使我
們沒有真正感到快樂。微笑和真正的快樂一樣,可以對我們的心
臟、血壓、腦,產生實際的推動力。

6、 行動起來
如果你能抑制你憂慮的原因XX例如:完成最後限期的工作,那麼
,立即做。將你的憂慮使你受到傷害的情況告訴好友,並立即行
動,從痛苦的情緒中擺脫出來。

7、 接受這樣的事實:沒有十全十美的人
我們經常將自己和他人比較:比較工作、比較成就、比較外型、
比較能力;但是,我們卻忽略了他們的缺點和問題。須知,沒有
一個人是十全十美的。

8、 將自己來一次改造
對自己的外貌感到快樂,是精神快樂的一半。換一個新髮型、做
敷面的護理、穿著適宜清爽的服飾。自信和修飾外貌的人,可贏
得他人較多的尊重。

9、 要自我愛護
或許童年時,當你不快樂,你的母親會讓你洗熱水浴;現在,你
可以為自己溫杯熱茶,在床上靜躺一會。你已成長,有能力自我
愛護、自求快樂。

10、 做一評估
將你昔日做的所有事寫下來。現在,你可以看出,生活不像你認
為的那麼壞。

11、 要運動
心情不快樂,會損耗我們的活力和精力,因此,利用運動促進新
陳代謝,是很重要的。血液供給增多,不僅可增加你的精力,而
且還可以改善你的精神狀態。

12、 給自己處方不太貴的香草提神劑
它們是香草精,滴幾滴即可使你的精神振奮,將你心中的不快驅
散。你不要認為這是小事而不做喔!

13、 擁抱伴侶或孩子,或某物
雖然你的寵物狗、貓不如你的伴侶、孩子那麼可愛、美麗,但是
,撫摸或擁抱他,可使你的血壓和緊張降低。

14、 將情緒低沈的想法拋到一邊
如果你因情況而無法做什麼事,不必將它和他人商議,以免更引
起你的注意而使你痛苦。當情緒低沈的想法一進入你的腦內時,
立即想其他的事。

15、 快樂不一定是心砰砰跳的雀躍快樂
我們需要的是溫和而持久的快樂,天天有快樂的心情,還可以保
持健康耶!

16、 從日常的小地方尋找快樂
身旁的風景、花鳥、友人突來的電話KK都是你身邊的小事,然
而他們帶給你的輕快感,可使你快樂。

17、 吃健康的食物
食物和精神有關。如果你想吃巧克力,要改吃複合碳水化合物麵
條、米飯,因它們可以刺激身體製作較多的血清素。它是可使我
們心情快樂的荷爾蒙。

18、 到化妝品商店走一走,索取一些免費的化妝品新產品樣品。
瞭解化妝品的新趨勢,有利你的美容、護膚,你可從中得到快樂


19、 不要使自己難受
總是杞人憂天地想著將來的事,會使你生活在憂慮之中。將那些
想法完全拋在腦後,你只要想著如何使自己快樂的事就夠了。

20、 用一束鮮花善待自己
將它擺在床頭或辦公桌上,你一聞到鮮花的香味,便想到你對自
己的好,心中會因此快樂。

21、 大笑
專家指出,造成全身活動的大笑,可使心率、新陳代謝的速度加
快,也會使製造有鎮靜作用的荷爾蒙增多。

22、 不要總是夢想,要採取行動
如果你想參加有氧舞蹈班,立即找出廣告,打電話去報名。不要
讓生活支配你,而是你要支配生活,行動是支配生活的重要方法


23、 打破慣例
做些與日常生活不同的事情,例如:改變午餐的地方;早起一小
時,到公園散步KK,這些都可以帶給你快樂。

24、 和使你快樂的人交往
你需要和使你沮喪的「朋友」保持聯繫嗎?誰能使你大笑,你就
可和他(她)交往。

寫這麼多快樂的方法,並不是要你每個方法都去做。只是想提醒
你:在繁忙的日子裡,有沒有記得讓自己快樂?!

III. Keith's Point of View: 10 Mega-Trends Part 3 - Down-
Aging

This is Part 3 of my series on Mega-Trends which I mentioned

in this year's Annual Prediction Seminar. Around 20 years 
ago, a Futurist, Ms Popcorn identified 10 potential trends. Nearly
all come ture. 5 of them are still very valid and affecting us till
now. These 5 trends become the first 5 of the 10 Mega-Trends
in my speech.
 Down-Aging is the third of the series.

 

Just imagine, people borned right after the World War II is now
already at an age of 60. In many developed countries, the
population of aged people is greater than that of the children.
People's life expectancy is increasing. (81.39 in Hong Kong)
 
People start to redefine "Old Aged". Even though you are old in
age, you can be young. More than 40% of marathorn runners are
over 40. Many ladies marry at an age of over 30. The number of
women having their first baby at over 40 is increasing.

People want to look younger and feel younger. Products and
services that help people having better skin, better teeth, better
circulation, more and darker hair, better sleep and better financial
arrangement after retirement are all bomming in the past 10 years.
 

This trend is going to continue.

 

Will this trend affecting you? How can you get something out of

Remember this: Every trend is a threat to someone who

knows nothing about it. It is also a great opportunity if you

understand it.

V. My Personal Development Tips: Top 5 Things to Do
Before I  Die

One factual truth about life is people will die. I will die too. Though 
it will be a bit much later. If I die, I want a "great" death. I have
already prepared for it. Everyone has something need, want and
desire to do before their death. It is better to do them as soon as
possible. Who knows when is the time!

Here are my top 5 things I will do before I die. It is nothing about
you. It is my death. I share with you only because I urge you to do
what you want to do and do them now. I will not regret if I die
tommorow.

1. Fulfill at least one Childhood Dream. We all have dreams
when we are young. We "forget" most of them as we grow up. We
stop dreaming since we become adult. Because we need to make
a living. Is making a living will prevent us from Making a "Life"?

You will never find the right time to start realizing your dream.
There are always problems. Select one of your dream and start it
now.

When I was young, I read my first English fiction book, the Adventure
of Tom Sawyer. I told myself that I will write a book that people in
different parts of the world will read it. This is one of my dreams. I
wrote 4 books (with my best partner, Mr. John Lau). Though there
are tens of thousands of readers. I still not yet accomplished my
dream. I am writing my best book now. I will and I can do it!

2. Be Your Real "You". I am "old" enough not to live according to
other people's expectations. I am who I am. I do what I like to do. I
wear what I like to wear. I speak what I like to speak. I don't harm
anyone. If someone doesn't like me, it is OK. Be yourself and surround
yourself with people who love who you really are. You can't satisfy
everybody or you are the first one to be suffered. Then you feel free,
really free!

3. Leave Something to the World. Contribute something to the
world. Something meaningful. Don't leave this world without giving
others something great. Apart from making a living, I do training
because I desire that I can spread my ideas and information to others.
I am sure that someone will find them useful. I had made a decision.
When I die, I will put half of all my writing, audio recordings of my
programs and other intelligence properties into public domain so
that everyone can read them and listen to them free. (BTW, don't
kill me now!)

4. Finish all Unfinished Business. Unfinished business are those
things that you wanted to but not yet finished. It could be something
you want to say, some relationships, someone you want to forgive, an
appology or anything else. These hooked you up in the past. I am now
clearing all my unfinished business. To make things easier, I stop
starting anything that I can't finish.

5. Fill Yourself with Great Stuff. When you live one more day, you
are having one less day in this world. This is not a negative thinking.
This is reality. With less and less time in this world, I only desire for 
great things in my life. I stop tolerating less than great things. I desire
for great food. I desire for great people surrounding me. I desire for
great experiences. I am not greedy. I do not need much, but I need
them to be great!

I have just completed a new program, the Neuro Linguistics of
Emotions. I forget something to mention in the workshop. Let's do
it here. This is the secret to be happy.

If you "want" your life to be filled with Joy, Fulfill All Your "Needs"
(something you really can't live without), Stop All Your "Wants"
(something you don't need, but you just want them), Act on Your
"Desires"
(something your really want, you know and you have
great reasons to get them, you have passions in them).
