My friends' daughter (my goddaughter) has metastatic Ewing's Sarcoma. Her
story is described briefly in the web page: A case of Ewing's Sarcoma (or
type www.ewingssarcoma.co.uk if the hyperlink doesn't work).
I am handling e-mail traffic, web searches etc, on my friends' behalf. They
have enough to do coping with the day to day stresses of looking after their
daughter. Also, she is more adept at using their computer than they are, and
we don't want her intercepting messages which might further distress her.
Those of you who are living through the experience of a loved one with
Ewing's will need no description of what is involved. In my friends'
daughter's case, the bottom line is that none of the successive chemotherapy
regimes appear to have worked.
The purpose of the web page mentioned earlier is to post a "cry for help" to
anyone - health professional, patient or parent - who may have any advice to
offer. We have also been investigating drug trials which may be relevant.
If anyone has any advice and would like to make contact, feel free to e-mail
me at BoneEwings@.... I am in daily
contact with her parents and will
share all relevant information.
Best wishes.
Peter
