Hi

Its Debbies mum here..Debbie is almost 12 years old, and was diagnosed with
Ewings in January of this year. She had a primary tumour on her left iliac bone
which was removed in August, along with chemotherapy and radiation to 2 other
sites that were suspect.She didnt have an allograft, as the surgeon felt that
she would do just as well without any graft or replacement for her bone. She is
still on chemo, and will be until April next, but she has gone into remission (
yay!!!). She has phsiotherapy 3 times a week and has a hard time with it all at
times.She has had to grow up very quickly.She told her surgeon that it would
help her greatly if she could talk to someone else who had a hemipelvectomy, but
unfortunately she is the only person in Australia to have had her type of
operation. If anyone out there would like to talk, please email us at
