Hi Olga-
Sorry to hear about the nausea. Make sure you tell your doctor about the
severity of this side effect when you get evaluated for your next round of
chemo. The pharmasist can (and should) tweak your anti-nausea medication so that
you don't have as much nausea next time. For your reference, I'm usually given:
Emend (Aprepitant) on the day of chemo (125mg) and the two following days
(80mg)
Anzemet (Dolasetron) on day of chemo and the two following days (100mg each)
Dexamethasone (Decadron) on the day of chemo and the two following days (5
pills/10 mg total each day)
Lorazepam (Ativan) on the day of chemo and the two following days (1mg) This
one is like a sleeping pill so I only take it at night, before heading to sleep.
