Time until METS after PET scan   Message List

Hi, I had a 2 cm extraskeletal ewing sarcoma removed from cheek 1 month ago.
A PET scan 20 days ago was clean and i begin chemo in 3 days to try and keep
it that way. Suddenly, i feel an odd fullness/numbness below my lowest left
rib which seems to come and go; sometimes it seems to radiate toward my side
or back. I know ewings metastisizes to stomach and lungs. Is it possible to
have metastasis to stomach or lung that i would already feel like this just
20 days after a clean PET scan? Does anyone have a sense of how long it
would take for a "feelable" met to show after a clean PET? In my less
paranoid moments, i write this off to newly sleeping on this side and on a
new bed...but i don't know, it feels odd. Shouldn't the PET have showed
early activity 20 days ago if i have an actual met now causing symptoms?

Thanks to all of you!

Scott
