just found this group although a bit late now. Michael, aged 22, (my
son) diagnosed May 2003. Chemo then 2 ribs removed in November, then
maintenaince chemo but in Jan 2004 new tumour on rib. Radiotherapy
and just pain relief.Temporary relief from pain. No use its here
again, shoulder, spine and head also. Hes now in my bed, paralysed
from chest down, so thin and so weak and theres no more they can do.
Each night I think he will pass as we have been told he only has
days left and could just pass in his sleep. Im so angry and sad that
I cant help him anymore. He knows what is to come at anytime now and
is so brave.I wish I'd have found this site so long ago as i have
studied it no end looking for an answer or some hope.Any other mums
or dads in my situation?

I lost my 26 year old wife about 5 months ago. You are so brave to be there for
him. Don't give up! You can't. My inlaws did and I will never forgive them for
it. Stay there. As hard as it is it's only a few more days. We fought for 5
years. Lost in the end but won. She gained heaven and we gained a lot of
compassion and understanding and knowledge to help others. If you need anything
or even someone to talk to call me. (518) 588-0277. Where do you live? I'm in
NY. Was in Boston for her treatments.
Prayers are with you,
Dan McCarty

I too lost my son Michael to ewings he was 20-although
we lost him we have all gained from his strength,
courage and faith during his surgeries, chemo, bone
marrow transplant-hold on to the time he has left and
feel confident that he will be pain free and in peace
soon
