I had a stem cell transplant when I was five for my ewings. It was along with
radiation and high-dose chemo, but the first week of April will mark my 7th year
of my remission. Since we could not find a match for me, my own stem cells were
harvested. They were then frozen and placed back in my body.
Any questions, e-mail me.

Stem cell has not been effective with Ewing's. It is highly dangerous and
the chance of remission is slight. The best thing that can be said for it is
that it reduces the size of tumors and gives the appearance of clearing out the
body of tumor, but the Stats don't support it as a cure. HSCT (stem cell
transplant) is useful in the preparation of the new vaccine treatment offered by
Dr. James Geiger at the Un. of Michigan. His Vaccine brought 3 of 10 sarcoma
patients into remission and they are still alive. For more information, check
