Dear Renee.
I am also the parent of a daughter diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma. My daughter is
nine. She had Ewings of the pelvis with the PNET tumor hitting S1 through S5 of
the spinal canal and damaging the nerve endings of the spinal cord. We did the
48 week chemo every 21 days protocol, radiation, and surgery. Ewings is a very
aggressive cancer but all is possible to beat. Pray!
When we were diagnosed the two top facilities dealing with Ewings were
Vanderbilt and St. Judes. We live in Virginia so neither were convenient.
However we went with St. Judes. You have to do what is right for your son. May
God Bless you and if you need to talk. We have all been there.

Just joined the group. My son, Adrian, 22, just had a tumor removed
from his lower spine. It was a spinal cord tumor, in the dura, along
the spinal cord. It took almost three weeks to get the pathology
report back---and it was ewing's sarcoma.
I'm looking for any and all info on this cancer, and wondered if any
one else has dealt with the ewing's as a spinal cord tumor.
They can't get him in at MD Anderson for 2 1/2 weeks, so our
oncologist is recommending that we start the IMRT therapy next week.
So, Help!!!We don't know near enough yet.
thanks,
Renee
