Welcome to the new year-

As members of the O.K. Corral Series, you know that your
listserve posts are not screened and your communication is
encouraged - we like to take a "hands-off" approach to any management
of our members' important ideas and opinions. You also know that
this is not the case everywhere, and I imagine this is the reason for
the creation of the website listed below.

One of our members forwarded the following website to me, and
while we had nothing to do with its creation, we do hope it will be a
source of facts and honest emotions in the field in which we are all
so invested.

Most of our members know exactly where we stand on EAGALA and
the changes it has made since 11/2005, and for the sake of open
disclosure we DO have a "dog in this fight." We also believe that
folks who have a sense of right and wrong and an honest commitment to
the fields of EAP and EAL have valid cause for concern.
