Hi,
I used the Trellix Site Builder with Earthlink and built mine myself. (I had no prior web experience but have done tons of newsletters.) Earthlink has lots of background templates to choose from and then you have quite a bit of freedom to add pictures and text on each page. I have lots of pics on my site and never seem to exceed my basic limits - that's something to watch when comparison pricing. Site costs me $25/month. I think it was about $60 to start-up and of course the cost of my domain registration.
My son tells me I have too much on my site and I should convert a lot of it to a Blog which I am considering - pure lack of time prevents me from getting it done. Describing what we do, telling the stories, offering resources and having pics takes a lot of space! Plus I have a store on my site. That's a whole other story I won't get into here but suffice it to say that's a bit of a struggle compared to the rest of the material.
I'd love to hear from everyone what kind of webpage traffic they are getting as a gauge of effectiveness. So far I'm only getting about 25/day (I don't pay anyone to push my website).
Let us know when you have it up so we can send you compliments!
